Self-Love

The sacred honoring,

Your own worth,

Care, compassion, protection

Of your well-being

Self-love

Is your foundation

When you affirm

Your worth through

Care, boundaries, nourishment

Your spiritual architecture

This medicine roots

Divinity and rebuilds

Your inner sanctuary

Worth

Cultivated through care, boundaries,

And nourishment

Restores spiritual architecture

Rebuilding the inner sanctuary

Or care, compassion, and protection

Of my well-being

Self-love is my foundation

Verses

“Vindicate me, Lord,
for I have led a blameless life;
I have trusted in the Lord
and have not faltered.
Test me, Lord, and try me,
examine my heart and my mind;
for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love
and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

I do not sit with the deceitful,
nor do I associate with hypocrites.
I abhor the assembly of evildoers
and refuse to sit with the wicked.
I wash my hands in innocence,
and go about your altar, Lord,
proclaiming aloud your praise
and telling of all your wonderful deeds.

Lord, I love the house where you live,
the place where your glory dwells.
Do not take away my soul along with sinners,
my life with those who are bloodthirsty,
in whose hands are wicked schemes,
whose right hands are full of bribes.
I lead a blameless life;
deliver me and be merciful to me.

My feet stand on level ground;
In the great congregation I will praise the Lord.” – Psalms 26:1-12 NIV1

“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: ‘Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!’ Then one of the elders asked me, ‘These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?’ I answered, ‘Sir, you know.’ And he said, ‘These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.’ Therefore, ‘they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.’ ‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” – Revelation‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬2

“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. ‘When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. ‘When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’ I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town. ‘Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. ‘Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.’” – Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬3

Practice

“I protect my well-being,
the place where my compassion honors my worth.
Do not take away my foundation,
my love for myself.
I affirm a restored life;
nourish me and bound my spiritual architecture.

My medicine roots me on level ground;
in my dignity I will rebuild my inner sanctuary.” – Psalms 26:8-12 SOS

“‘Never again will they ignore; never again will they neglect. The sun will be their foundation. For they will care for their worth at the boundaries of their nourishment; they will be restored, affirming their architecture. And this medicine will root their dignity and rebuild their sanctuary.” – Revelation‬ ‭7‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭SOS‬‬

“But it will be compassionate for Tyre and Sidon at the protection of their well-being. And you, Capernaum, will you love yourself for your foundation? No, you will affirm your boundaries. ‘Whoever roots in their dignity, dignifies their roots; whoever rebuilds their inner sanctuary, sanctifies their builds; but whoever practices their medicine restores their wholeness.’” – Luke 10:14-16 SOS
