What If You Held the Key to a Boundless Inner Universe?

I find it interesting the first mention of the universe in the NIV version of the Bible is in the New Testament. The universe is mentioned once by Paul and one other time by the author of the book of Hebrews. I believe when the Old Testament refers to the universe the authors use the phrasing “the heavens and the earth”. It intrigues me that the Old Testament had a different understanding of all that was created than the New Testament authors. I believe their journey through life transformed their mind to think in new ways and understand all that god might have created.

I believe this process still applies to us today. Based on the current understanding we have of our world today, I believe we can come to new spiritual discoveries. With how much our world is interconnected to one another, I believe cultures have merged with each other in ways that humans could not have predicted. I believe our spiritual discoveries and cultural immersion have led to new creativity in all forms of art. I believe spirituality, culture, and art create a cycle where one influences another to spark new understanding of our world. I believe this cycle can express the harmony all spiritual beings share with one another, unlocking prejudices and biases we have towards others. I believe engaging with a new sense of harmony can release the potential within every individual to become what they are supposed to be. I believe the awakened potential can redefine one’s identity and ultimately direct their sense of purpose.

Intuitive Universe

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, intuition is defined as “the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference. I believe intuition is subjective to the individual due to the facts rational thought and inference is impacted by one’s experience. I believe exploring one’s intuition can be vital to one’s spiritual journey, helping them cultivate their own understanding of their spiritual path. I believe taking the time to go on your own quest for your inner light can bring you closer to understanding the complexities of your deeper subconscious.

The Higher Self Podcast, released a podcast where Sahara Rose and Manuela Walton have a discussion about intuition, past lives, dreams, and so much more1. In the second segment of the show, Sahara starts the conversation stating she feels like intuition is different than her other thoughts2. Sahara reflects on how when she sat with plant medicine in the past, and wondered if she sat patiently with her thoughts for 8 hours, if she would have the same intuitive thoughts as she would when influenced by plant medicine3. Manuela adds she believes plant medicine can help, and shares her experience working with Hoppe helping her go into the deepest meditation4. She questions whether her deep meditation was really meditation or if it was contemplation5. Manuela believes meditation is about really quieting the mind and residing in a place of stillness6. Later on Sahara shares some of her revelations in her meditation practice, one of them being what she would be without her home7. Sahara states she was really pondering this question and believes as a society we don’t make quiet time for our thoughts and to hear our intuition8. Sahara belabors her point, stating we just run faster and faster to the next thing on our agenda9. Sahara finishes her point stating there is no time for quiet or solitude anymore like there used to be for ancient civilizations10. Manuela replies sharing how she gets ten people to sit in their own quiet time for ten minutes and for them it feels like an hour11. Manuela says in her own practice she’s moved from ten minutes of quiet time to 30 minutes and to 45 minutes12. Manuela believes doing this work allows her to play with time where time doesn’t seem to exist13.

Sahara and Manuel share their personal experiences with their intuition and how they cultivate. Sahara and Manuel shared taking moments out of their day to ponder their consciousness and act on their thoughts rather than wondering where they come from. Sahara and Manuel shared their experiences with plant medicine, and how plant medicine can almost accelerate your intuitive thoughts, coming from being unconcerned with where the thoughts come from. I believe intuition can lead to new unexpected discoveries that can guide you to new unexpected opportunities. I believe embracing your intuition, without one’s experiential unbelief inhibiting them, can lead to abrupt access to what is happening in the spiritual realm. I believe trusting your intuition gives you a new voice to lean on when journeying through your spirituality, allowing you to go through your inner world, enjoying all the universe has in store.

Constant Universe

In my experience, pleasure has come and gone in moments and has been impacted by my focus. I believe pleasure looks different from person to person, and there is no one thing that is pleasurable for every human. I believe you can condition people to find pleasure in things others hate and vice versa. For the sake of this blog, I would challenge you to find pleasure with who you are, aligning yourself with your intuition. I believe pleasure brought from intuitive alignment can spark joy within one’s spirit. I believe the amount of joy kindled within you can bring fulfillment to your spirit and push you along your day to day spiritual journey.

Sadhguru released a short podcast to share daily wisdom14. Sadhguru opens up his insight by sharing that he is not against pleasure, and wants people to live in constant pleasure15. Sadhguru doesn’t like little pleasures that take a lot of time, effort, calculation etc. and believes the simple act of sitting can bring extreme pleasure16. Sadhguru asks if you would organize your life without pleasure, and believe pleasure takes a lot of organization17. Sadhguru asks if it would be nice to be able to sit and breathe and feel extreme pleasure18. Sadhguru believes once your physical existence becomes very pleasurable, your body becomes less and less important19. Sadhguru continues, once your physicality becomes less important, the other dimensions of your reality begin to grow20. Sadhguru believes this is something that needs to happen for the whole world21.

Sadhguru outlines a progression from constant pleasure to blissful ignorance of our physical reality to spiritual renewal. I believe I agree with parts of Sadhguru’s formula, and I would encourage you to wrestle with his wisdom as well. I would encourage you to seek out what you are passionate about, what brings you pleasure, and focus more on your mental state than the physical reality around you. Allow your mind and your intuition to give you new ways of experiencing your everyday life. I would encourage you to notice where your mind goes in states of pleasure, choosing to love the pleasurable state you have, and brainstorm new ways to recreate the pleasure and love you feel in new activities. I believe living in a cycle of delight can bring you constantly growing pleasure in a constantly growing universe.

Pink Universe

I’m not the best at keeping up with modern trends. In my experience, I have not learned to use social media in a beneficial way and I do not own any accounts on the major social media platforms i.e Instagram, Tik Tok, X, etc. However, I do believe people who make social media work for them allows them to express themselves and the identity they have aligned themselves with. I believe social media can be playful and beautiful, introducing the world to a spectrum of different cultures, careers, and colors.

The Multicultural Misfits Podcast, released an episode as we come close to the end of 202422. The boys get together to talk about their Spotify Wrapped results, some surprising and some expected23. After discussing one of the guys top 5 songs they talk about the “vibes” that were categorized for each Spotify user24. With excitement, the same guy expresses he had one month where he got “Pink Pilates Princess Strut Pop”25. One of his friends commented it was his Pink Pilates Princess Era and they laughed about their usernames on Spotify26. The main three artists he listened to during his Pink Pilates Princess Era were Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, etc.27

The Misfits group got together and shared their exploration with artists and podcasters from different niches, while also discussing the creators they turn to on a consistent basis. The music and content they listened to throughout the year expanded their view of the world and taste for different entertainment from around the world. I believe influencers have tremendous impact in shaping our current and future generations as I believe people tend to gravitate closer to personalities than products. I believe there are tons of ways to be inspired and to be enriched by the work of creators impacting career choices for their audience. I believe people grow through passion and pressure, both within their culture and within their career. I would encourage you to add some flavor to your growth, flavor to your universe, to add your personality and strengths to the way you grow within your culture and career. I would encourage you to broaden your tastes, hear different perspectives, and see the colors that illuminate your seasons, and maybe you can live in your own pink universe.

Calling of the Universe

I believe intuition precedes impulses. I believe thoughts precede our actions. I believe when one is in tune with their intuition, they can branch out to a new tree of creativity. I believe from their extended reach, their view on art can be refined to include all forms of expression. With a new perspective, I believe this newfound expression can be a further interpretation of their spiritual surroundings.

The BoldBrush Show released a podcast this week featuring Philippe Gandiol and his path to becoming a full time artist28. The host asks when was the first time he thought of starting a relationship with his personal inner muse29. Philippe reflects on when he was 15 years old he started doing mimes and heard of an individual who has a relationship with the moon30. The individual wanted to go to the moon, sit on the moon, float, and look at the world from the moon’s perspective31. Philippe admired this individual and did a mime about their story32. Philippe jokes about because of his French heritage, Philippe is naturally a romantic and this was the first time he felt his inner muse33. Philippe explains he thinks he felt the muse because when he was writing the script, there was something that was in him that felt separate from him, but also felt like himself, that dictated the script and the movements34. Philippe considers how his acting school experience of drawing and writing the stage for his mime performance could’ve cultivated the muse within him35. Later on when Philippe decided to take on the jump of becoming a full time artist, he had to establish a relationship with his muse once more36. Philippe giggles, his muse is a her because he loves women and his muse is a beautiful woman37. Philippe says he really had to connect with his muse in order to grow because he says he has to be himself and cannot be another famous painter38.

Philippe shares a unique story of how his muse was revealed to him through different forms of art. Through Philippe’s acting performances, sharing of stories, writing of scripts, and drawing of his stage, I believe Philippe felt a part of himself that always existed, felt separated from, and reconnected with once again. After connecting, Philippe spent more time with his new feeling of duality, this beautiful woman that inspires his artistic works and performance. When I experience blocks in my creative flow, I try to understand a part of myself I don’t fully understand yet, and imagine how this archetype of myself would respond to my situation. I believe my thought exercise allows me to overcome the never ending obstacles in our human experience. I would encourage you to listen to the call of your inner muse, the call of a parallel you from another universe, to channel out of this world inspiration. I would encourage you to let this intuitive, constant, inspiration provide meaning to all the work you do, whether you consider it artistic or not.
